Resource Guides

CT ECO includes two types of online reference documents that describe the information available in CT ECO. These guides are intended to help you understand how to use a particular map, map theme, or data layer included in the Map Catalog, Thematic Map Viewers, Advanced Data Viewer, or Map Services. Resource Guides more thoroughly describe the resources being mapped and include more information than the related Data Guides. Resource Guides are accesible via the Data Guides in the Map Catalog, Thematic Map Viewers, Advanced Data Viewer, and Map Service sections of CT ECO.

Listed below are all of the Resource Guides in CT ECO. As with the Data Guide, each one includes a description, purpose, use limitations, data date, and a link to GIS metadata for technical documentation of the underlying data source. Additionally, the Resource Guide includes a detailed map legend description, links to related online information resources, contact information for additional questions you might have, and a link back to the related Data Guide.
